Fight for Freedom - Kurdistan's Female Warriors
Young Syrian Kurds are facing sanguinary IS barbarians. They know that they are strong and are willing to prove it. They know that the terrorists are scared of being killed by a woman – one who is killed by a woman forfeits his right to an afterlife in heaven – and they are willing to capitalize on this. They are women freedom fighters.
The Brigade Roxanne includes 35 girls and women from a town in the north-west of Syria called Afrin. Most of them lost their families, not just because they want to save Kurdistan, but also because they have more freedom in the group than they have at home. This is the drawback of living in largely patriarchal society – in the family the father or the husband rules. They will fight for the freedom of their country but also for their own freedom.
