The assassin of the Bataclan was an ordinary bus driver: Samy Amimour. He drove the very common bus number 148 along the northern Banlieues of Paris.
Until the day he executed almost 90 people in the concert hall Bataclan on November 13, 2015. How did the bus driver of line 148 become a mass murderer? He lived at the Mairie de Drancy stop and prayed in the garage mosque at the Lénine stop. Then he blew himself up. Alexander Smoltczyk, a multiple award-winning journalist for "SPIEGEL", made an extraordinary documentary, both in form and content.
A film in which the terrorist Samy Amimour himself only travels as a stowaway, as a shadow that often falls on the passengers' conversations. For it is about them, the people along line 148, the inhabitants of the northern banlieue of Paris.The film is an investigative road movie in local public transport, through the ruins of the French Republic. Every stop is a window into a world that is alien to many inhabitants of Paris.
