Following an accident, Robert Wolf is paralyzed from the neck down. Over six years, Katrin Nemec follows him and his wife, up until the time of Wolf's self-determined death.
After being involved in an accident for which he is not to blame, Robert Wolf, the successful guitarist from the band Quadro Nuevo, is paralyzed from the neck down. He increasingly feels he doesn't want to live a life in which he is dependent on others and unable to make music. At the same time, his young wife tries everything in her power to rebuild their life together.
The couple approaches the topic of euthanasia from two very different perspectives: On one side is a young woman who wants a great deal from life and can't understand why her husband has chosen to reject it and, by extension, her. On the other is a man who must endure pain and indignity on a daily basis and longs for the autonomy to decide when to end his suffering.
Over a period of six years, Katrin Nemec follows Robert Wolf, once the successful guitarist for the band Quadro Nuevo, and his wife on their journey, up until the day of Wolf's self-determined death.
