In the Name of the Dead
Forensic scientists – they are the specialists who, with permission from the police, conduct investigations with the evidence from a crime scene to track and apprehend criminals.
Miniscule skin cells, blood distribution and even the maggots found at a gruesome crime scene can be probed, examined and studied to acquire evidence that can help the victims achieve justice. The dead may not be able to speak, but their remains say more than enough. It’s the job of the trackers, analysts and scientists to listen.
They are trackers, analysts and scientists. Without them, most of the capital crimes committed would go unsolved and due to a lack of evidence, the offenders would be acquitted. This series brings what lurks in the darkness of crimes into the light. It shows how forensic scientists, geneticists and profilers work together to solve criminal offenses.
In the woods, a body is found with the skull bashed in. Who is he? And what happened to him? It is the forensic scientists who lead the investigations to reveal the sometimes unbelievable stories behind the crimes.
