This documentary takes the audience to astonishing landscapes and shares the spirit of life in these mountains reaching from Canada's Yukon all the way to New Mexico. Whether ice climbing in Jasper National Park, heli skiing in the Columbia Mountains or raising buffalo in a remote little side valley - everybody seems to find his own individual rockies experience.
The first part describes the Canadian Rockies. Entirely shot in the wintertime it shows a mountain range of work and play. Part two covers the US Rockies in summer. It shows the landscapes and wildlife of some of the greatest National Parks in America: Montana's Glacier National Park, Yellowstone and the Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado.
