Since the UN's Climate Change Conference in 2015, the nations of the world have decided to bond together for a common cause - to reduce our carbon footprint. This film takes us directly to the areas greatly affected by the climatic changes and invites a view into the future of life after climate-related damages.
Floods are destroying everything in its path, leaving people homeless and hopeless. Droughts are affecting our farming industry and even in some parts of prosperous countries such as the United States of America, people are suffering from a lack of drinking water. It is true that the cities of the West are, to an extent, cloaked in a blanket of security, however, the same cannot be said for the poorer regions of the South.
The climate is in extreme flux, it is only a matter of time before these life-threatening conditions manage to spread to the untainted regions of the world. That’s why it is so important that we, in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, begin to take the necessary steps towards adapting to the climatic changes and live more environmentally friendly. This documentary takes us to the frontline of our battle with climatic changes. We will go to Peru, where the devastating damages can already be seen and we will see firsthand the extent to which the climatic changes threaten the lives of the inhabitants.
We will also cast our lens to the future by showing the new technologies being developed worldwide to help combat future climate-related problems, show you how to live with the irreversible damages already made to our fair planet and highlight how important it is that the producers of oil and carbon energy start taking responsibility for the carbon emissions now affecting our world.
