From the 8.5 million people living in New York, 500,000 are undocumented workers, now Donald Trump stands as a risk to their well-being.
Before his inauguration, controversy plagued the Trump campaign. And his time in office has been no different. But, the people of the multicultural city of New York are fighting back. Many New Yorkers view the newly appointed President as a direct threat to the all-round positive image of NYC. Now, people from all walks of life are dedicating their lives to the cause.
They cook, clean, assist and work in construction. They have houses, businesses, pay taxes and have built families. Over 100,000 persons working in the United States are undocumented workers and New York is home to the majority. Even before his inauguration controversy has plagued the Trump campaign. And his time in office has been no different. But, the people of the multicultural city of New York are fighting back. Many New Yorkers view the newly appointed President as a direct threat to the all-round positive image of NYC and as a result of this people from all walks of life are dedicating their lives to the cause. “We will fight for our fellow townspeople! Regardless of their place of birth and regardless of whether or not they have papers!”
